In some cases, BACRouter may only be accessible via BACnet, with no way to upgrade the firmware through the WebUI. From firmware v7.11, This feature is provided to address such situations.

Please note that we do not guarantee full compatibility of BACnet functionality and configuration files between different firmware versions. After an upgrade, BACRouter may no longer be accessible via BACnet.

Firmware File Object

BACRouter exposes a write-only file object named “firmwareFile”. To upgrade the firmware, simply write the firmware file to this File object. The open-source software YABE supports this operation.

Firmware File Format

The firmware files downloaded from our website are in .tar.gz format and cannot carry the metadata required for validation in the file contents. Therefore, they must be converted to .bin format at https://tech.hvacrcontrol.com/firmware/ Otherwise, the firmware file object will reject the write operation.
